Michael Emanuel is an award winning actor, producer, writer and director with hundreds of TV, film and commercial credits on his resume, Michael has worked alongside such Hollywood luminaries as William Friedkin, Wolfgang Peterson, Armand Mastroianni, Nick Nolte, Dustin Hoffman, Harrison Ford, Rene Russo, and Alfre Woodard, just to name a few.

The quintessential everyman, Michael has guest starred on numerous TV shows including ER, The Nine, Desperate Housewives, Malcolm in the Middle, Everybody Hates Chris and Monk. One of the most recognizable faces on TV, Michael is “that guy” in hundreds of memorable national commercials. His work has helped sell products for DHL, SBC, Century 21, Sears, Snickers, Healthy Choice, McDonalds, Kay Jewelers, AT&T, Disney, Tylenol, GM, Saturn, Comcast, American Airlines, HUD and many others.

In 2006, Michael started his own production company, Canal Street Films, which quickly became an active force in the independent film community. Canal Street’s first feature, the suspenseful psychological thriller, The Uninvited, stars Marguerite Moreau, Brittany Curran and Colin Hay. He also produced Free Style, starring High School Musical leading man, Corbin Blue, and Maneater, the Native American inspired horror/thriller starring Dean Cain, which Michael also wrote and directed. Most recently, Michael wrote, produced and directed Scary or Die starring Corbin Bleu and horror icon Bill Oberst Jr.

Michael is also well known for starring in and co-producing the modern horror cult classic Lucky. For the record, Lucky was written and co-produced by the late, great Steve Sustarsic, and co-produced and directed by your humble StoryBeat host.
